The primary purpose of the Integrated Teaching Project is to develop and implement research-based professional development programs in the STEM education framework: A framework that is conceptualized in the Turkish context through a critical investigation of the global and local educational policies, our previous research on curriculum integration, integrated teaching knowledge (ITK) in particular, and mathematics and science (teacher) education in Turkey.
